New Mid Week Fish Market Opens In Putney

The Portland Scallop Co will be in Putney every Wednesday & Saturday

The Portland Scallop Company started in 1998 as a scallop diving enterprise working out of Lulworth Cove and Castletown on Portland. These were brought to London overnight supplying London Markets with these delicious shellfish.

We have always traded in SW London and can be found in Putney at Church Square, next to St Mary's Church on Saturdays between 9-4pm. The mid week market started on Wednesday 4th October and will be in Putney every Wednesday from 12 noon until 6.30pm.

Since those early days when we just used to bring scallops to town, we now have our own fishing boat and bring up a wide range of fresh fish including turbot, monkfish, plaice, bass, mackerel and many more, we also sell smoked fish and shellfish, (mussels now in season) and of course our fabulous dived-scallops!

We also have stalls at Barnes, Essex House Surgery 10-2pm, (opposite Barnes Pond) and Clapham, Venn St. 10-4pm Opposite the Cinema). We always have a comprehensive range of fresh seasonal fish from Lyme Bay and our expert staff are always happy to pass on any ideas for the preparation and cooking of all our fresh fish, we also prepare any whole fish to your requirements.
