Wimbledon businesses are being urged to join a sporting challenge being set up by the town's Going For Gold campaign.

Wimbledon Sports Week is set to take place from October 18-19, and involve football, ten-pin bowling and golf.

Going For Gold aims to raise Wimbledon's profile in the build-up to the 2012 London Olympics and it's organised the Business to Business Sporting Challenge.

There's a 5-a-side football tournament at Goals, Beverly Way, New Malden, from 5-8pm on Monday October 18, which costs £75 per team.

The ten-pin bowling takes place at the David Lloyd Centre in Bushy Road, Raynes Park, from 6-8pm on Tuesday October 19. It costs £20 for each team of three players.

A golf Stableford match will be staged at Wimbledon Park Golf Club in Home Park Road, Wimbledon, from 8am-3pm on Thursday October 21. This costs £240, including lunch, for each team of four players.
