Forthcoming Transport Disruption on Public Transport

Train and tube services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel over Easter and the next few weekends the following lines are affected by engineering works.

South West Trains

Friday 14 April to Sunday 16 April

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction (including about half of London Waterloo station) will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Sunday for preliminary work on the Waterloo & South West Upgrade. A reduced train service will run in and out of London Waterloo on the lines which remain open.

This work is planned to finish in order to allow a full train service (to the Saturday timetable) to run on Easter Holiday Monday. However, work will be taking place elsewhere throughout the Holiday weekend and all passengers should confirm journey details before travelling.

All lines in the Twickenham area will also be closed on these days for maintenance work and replacement bus services will run in the area Barnes – Teddington – Hounslow with trains being diverted via Brentford. Alterations for both these works are listed below.

South West Trains services will use platforms 1 to 4 at Vauxhall. Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station.
