H & F Police Detective Guilty of Cocaine Possession


Detective Constable Ian Payne arrested while on duty

Detective Constable Ian Payne, 45, a serving police officer based at Hammersmith and Fulham appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 28 and pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.

He was given a three month curfew. For the first two months he has stay at his home address between 7pm and 7am and for the final month on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 7am and 7pm.

He was also ordered to pay to pay £155 costs.

DC Payne, an officer based within the Specialist Crime and Operations, was arrested while on duty at approximately at 2pm on November 1 in Wimbledon.

He is currently suspended pending a misconduct hearing.
