Volunteers needed to take to the water to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust

The sponsored Dragon Boat Racing Regatta will take place on the lake at Wimbledon Park on Thursday June 17, and each boat needs 11 volunteers - a drummer and 10 paddlers willing to row to the beat of the drum and battle it out in timed heats until the final.

The evening starts at 4pm, when teams will need to be on site to receive some basic training and guidance, meet their helm, receive the buoyancy aid and catch their first glimpse of the 30ft Hong Kong style boats.

The actual racing starts at 5pm and organisers hope many people will come along to support the event, which will include a bar and barbecue.
