Event will showcase work of local artists
More than 100 artists in Wimbledon will showcase their work with the second Merton Arts Trail.
It takes place over two consecutive weekends - September 22-23 and 29-30 - when artists who live and work in Merton will display work in their studios or local venues.
It has been organised by Wimbledon-based Wendy Bliss, a
painter/photographer/maker, and Chrissie Craig, a freelance book editor/screen printer.
This year's event is 30% bigger than last year's trail with more than 100 artists showing their work, and includes an art exhibition at Merton Priory Chapter House (September 29 & 30, October 6 & 7), and one by the Worple Group at St Mark's Church in Wimbledon (September 29 only).
Pictured below is the work of two of the artists who feature on the trail - a sculpture by Al Baker (left), from Southdown Road, Wimbledon, and a painting by Fe Robertson, from Dora Road, Wimbledon.
