Teenager fights off the attacker
Police are hunting a man who assaulted a teenage girl by holding her round the throat as he tried to steal her bag in Wimbledon.
The attacker approached the 14-year-old at 7.40am on June 21 at the Haydons Park Road end of South Park Road.
He was aged 35-45, about 6ft tall, of medium build, wearing baggy blue jeans and a baggy brown leather jacket. He attempted to take her bag by holding her round the throat, but she fought him off and he walked towards The Broadway.
Investigating officer PC Helen Lawson said: "We are keen to identify and arrest this person. If you have any information or maybe saw what happened, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
