Environmental health officers go on the road
Food hygiene roadshows are being staged in Wimbledon and Colliers Wood to remind shoppers about the importance of storing, handling and cooking food properly.
Envirnonmental health officers are going out on the road as part of Food Safety Week and will be visiting supermarkets across Merton.
There are around 120,000 extra cases of illness recorded across the UK when the weather is warmest and as well getting hygiene information, shoppers will receive free hand sanitizers, fridge thermometers and money-off vouchers for cleaning products.
The roadshows will be at Morrisons on The Broadway in Wimbledon on Wednesday June 9 and at the Savacentre in Merton High Street, Colliers Wood, on Thursday June 10.
