Graffiti attack on closed pub

A landmark Wimbledon Chase pub which closed down earlier this month has been the victim of a graffiti attack.

The Emma Hamilton pub on Kingston Road, which closed on August 16 and has since been boarded up, has recently had the phrase "It's Been Emotional" sprayed across its front entrance.

The words are a quote from the end of the crime film 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', spoken by the character played by Vinnie Jones, Big Chris.

The pub, which opened in 1962, occasionally appeared in ITV's 'The Bill'. But earlier this month it was sold by Punch Taverns PLC.

Punch have not revealed who the pub was sold to, but most of the pub signage has since been removed and the car park has been barricaded.
