Learn Something New With Merton Adult Education

Summer open day gives chance for advice

Merton residents are being encouraged to see the wide range of new learning opportunities being offered by Merton Adult Education at its summer open day.

The event, which takes place from 4pm-6pm on Tuesday July 6, is open to everyone looking to gain new skills, try something different and improve their career prospects.

The new prospectus, available from Merton Adult Education venues, children's centres, and libraries across the borough, includes hundreds of courses covering familiar subjects such as beginners languages, IT and art.

But the prospectus also features courses as varied as life sculpture, jewellery making, teaching assistant courses, free career workshops, IT design courses and ITEC beauty courses.

The open day, at the centre in Whatley Avenue, Wimbledon Chase, offers residents a chance to come and speak to tutors and staff to get further information and choose a course to suit their needs.
