Re-named Prince of Wales plans beer festival

The Prince of Wales pub on Morden Road, near South Wimbledon, is holding a beer festival from Friday July 2-Sunday July 4.

The pub, re-named the Princess of Wales after the death of Princess Diana in 1997, recently reverted to its original name.

The rechristened pub promises to be offer ten real ales in a dedicated marquee as well as live entertainment including bands, solo artists and open mic. The event coincides with the finals weekend of Wimbledon tennis and there will be various screens displaying match information as it happens.

The beer is coming from breweries across Britain, including Chiltern Cobblestones (3.5%) from Buckinghamshire, Jorvik Blonde (3.8%) from Yorkshire and Brewdog Physics (5%) from Aberdeenshire.
