AFC Wimbledon Reject Bids For Striker

Crawley put in offers for Danny Kedwell

Wimbledon have rejected two bids for striker Danny Kedwell from Conference big-spenders Crawley Town.

The Sussex side were rebuffed following their first bid and experienced the same reaction after coming back with an improved offer.

Dons boss Terry Brown told the club’s official website: "Danny is an integral part of the future of the team and he is not for sale. Danny is aware of the situation and he has made it clear that he is very happy here."

And Kedwell himself confirmed to the South London Press: "I love this club and I’m happy here.

"Crawley are trying to buy everyone and I'm flattered but … hopefully next season we'll be in the Football League instead of them."

• The Dons finished their pre-season build-up on Monday (August 9) with a 2-0 win at Ryman League side Walton Casuals, with Ismail Yakubu and Christian Jolley scoring the goals.
