Want To Learn A New Skill?

Local adult education open day

If you're are thinking about learning a new skill or taking up a hobby, then go along to Merton Adult Education's (MAE) open day on Thursday September 4 between 12-8pm.

The open day at Whatley Avenue will give learners the chance to preview some of the courses on offer including business start-up skills, photography and languages and to have a chat with tutors at MAE about finding the right course for them. Many of them take place in Wimbledon.

MAE is aimed at giving residents the chance to learn for fun, to get qualifications or to take on challenges. It provides people of all ages and educational backgrounds with the opportunity to learn new skills both in their careers and personal lives.

Merton Council's cabinet member for education, Councillor Martin Whelton, said: "This is a great opportunity for adults of all ages to explore the many classes on offer and to find a course that suits their needs at Merton Adult Education. Learning a new skill can boost your CV, enhance your education, along with giving support to help you start your own business."

A brand new prospectus is available for people to see all courses in detail. It can be picked up from any MAE venue or Merton library.
