Join Haydon the womble in charity race

AFC Wimbledon's Dons Trust is staging a three-mile fund-raising "minithon" in Morden Park from noon on Sunday October 17.

Participants will be joined by manager Terry Brown and the first team coaching staff, as well as club mascot, Haydon the Womble (left).

There will be prizes for the best fancy dress costume, the largest amount of funds raised and the fastest competitors (by age group).

Half the proceeds will be going to the club's Ground Fund, while the rest will go to the Mayor of Merton's annual charities - Macmillan Cancer Support and Wimbledon Civic Theatre Trust.

Closing date for entries is Wednesday October 13.
