What's On At New Wimbledon Theatre This Autumn?


A wide variety of entertainment is available on your doorstep

Autumn at New Wimbledon Theatre will offer a wide array of top quality entertainment on your doorstep in its Main Auditorium and the newly-refurbished Time & Leisure Studio.

In November the theatre celebrates two female icons of the swinging sixties; Cilla-The Musical tells the story of the legend that is Cilla Black and tells the story of the early years of her career soundtracked by Cilla’s own hits, with a few appearances by her good friends The Beatles. Starring Kara Lily Hayworth who won the role of Cilla after a nationwide search for the perfect star to take on the iconic role.

The greatest hits of Dusty Springfield soundtrack a brand new story, Son Of A Preacher Man, starring Diana Vickers, Debra Stephenson and Ian Reddington, this brand new musical is directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood.

The theatre finishes off its year with the annual family pantomime which this year stars Pub Landlord Al Murray, and Clive Rowe, an Olivier award-winning dame, in Jack and the Beanstalk.

Its newly-refurbished Time & Leisure Studio is now equipped for cinema screenings, and can now bring you the nest in theatre, opera and live music from around the word, including the RSC and Shakespeare’s Globe. This season it will be showing David Gilmore; Live from Pompeii, spectacular opera with Carmen on the lake, from the famous floating water stage in Bregenz, Austria, a visual spectacle not to be missed.
