Wimbledon's Autumn Arts Festival Is Back

Celebrate the town's great arts culture

On a stroll through Wimbledon this September, watch out for legendary artists roaming the streets, modern sculptures on display and ‘get creative’ workshops on The Piazza.

Autumn Arts Festival is back for its third year. In partnerships with Merton Arts Trail and Wimbledon Bookfest, it celebrates the great arts culture that Wimbledon Town Centre has to offer.

On the 19th & 20th and 26th & 27th of September, there will be a variety of fun arty activities, workshops, demonstrations, entertainment, famous faces and more on The Piazza outside Morrisons.

The Artshed once again takes pride of place on The Piazza and this year has been painted by local artist Samaira Ali to celebrate the launch of the arts festival. The shed will be hosting local artists and organisation such as Polka Theatre, Wimbledon Art Studios, Go Create and Wimbledon Library.

On the middle weekend (19/20 September) the Arts Market will return with a fantastic variety of arts and craft, illustrations, prints and pictures available to buy from local artists. A great place to buy affordable art, direct from established and upcoming artists.

Highlights:

Create ceramic miniatures with Go Create inspired by Wimbledon park life (Sat 19 & Sun 20 September) Dive into the magical world of Beauty and the Beast with Polka Theatre (26 September) and spot the Gruffalo as he visits Wimbledon for the launch of Wimbledon Bookfest (26 September).
