Merton's Volunteering Group Meets Top Standards Again

Quality award given for 9th year running

Merton Voluntary Service Council (MVSC) has received the NAVCA Quality Award for the 9th year in a row.

NAVCA is the national voice of not for profit support and development. The award is a recognition of leading service providers.

In order for MVSC to qualify for the award they had to complete a detailed self-assessment against NAVCA's Performance Standards along with a visit from a NAVCA auditor to learn more about the organisation, its projects, processes and procedures.

Chief Executive of MVSC, Khadiru Mahdi is pleased that MVSC's NAVCA re-accreditation has been confirmed. He said: "Not only have we received the award but we have achieved maximum scores in many areas including governance and leadership, people and skills, and collaborative working.

"What a great way to demonstrate that MVSC is a leading provider of services in Merton. I take this opportunity to congratulate trustees, staff, associates and volunteers at MVSC and thank NAVCA for their continued support."

In awarding MVSC an outstanding report, Neil Cleeveley, Chief Executive of NAVCA, said: "Congratulations to MVSC for receiving the NAVCA Quality Award for the 9th year. They received excellent scores once again with a large number of top scores, indicating that high quality services are being delivered across the borough."
