Alan Ayckbourn's Roundelay Comes To Wimbledon

No performance of these five one-act plays is the same

Alan Ayckbourn’s 78th play, Roundelay – five linked short plays to be performed in no particular order - will be at the New Wimbledon Studio Theatre from February 21-25.

It will mark the Wimbledon debut of Huddersfield-based Dick & Lottie, formed by John Cotgrave and Richard McArtney in 2004 to perform the works of Alan Ayckbourn.

“Roundelay” is a series of five self-contained one-act plays (The Judge, The Novelist, The Politician, The Star and The Agent), written to be performed in any order, all of which are connected in some way. The order they are seen will affect the audience's perception of the plays and characters.

With a possible 120 combinations each performance of “Roundelay” will be completely different.

The running order for each performance will be drawn by the audience 20 minutes before the play begins and the order in which the plays are performed will affect the audience's perception of the plays and characters.

Over the last 13 years John and Richard have established a company of professional and amateur actors who have performed, on average, three Ayckbourn plays each year.

They have developed a wide audience base and attract full capacity at each production. They are committed to taking their work to new audiences outside of Huddersfield, and are looking forward to seeing you at the New Wimbledon Studio Theatre.

Tickets available from ATG Theatre website, with the running order being drawn for each show at 6.55pm.
