Base Jumpers Arrested At Colliers Wood Tower

Stopped before they had chance to parachute off

Two 'base jumpers' were arrested in the early hours of yesterday (April 8) before they had chance to jump from the Brown and Root Tower in Colliers Wood.

Merton Police tweeted that they arrested the two men overnight before they jumped from the 17-storey tower.

They were arrested on suspicion of being on an enclosed premised for unlawful purposes. They were later released without charge.

Base jumping involves parachuting off a cliff of a building and it is understood they each had a parachut with them.
