Diverse music at charity event
Childe Roland - an unique electric folk band, will perform a benefit concert for the MS Society on Friday (May 17) at Christ Church, Colliers Wood.
Come hear traditional and contemporary tales of love, plague, highway robbery, and cross-dressing (that's the traditional bit) alongside songs inspired by such diverse subjects as the War of Jenkin's Ear, the Flying Dutchman and Z-list celebrity - plus a new light-hearted take on the myth of Helen of Troy.
Wine, soft drinks, and nibbles will be available before the concert and during the interval (donation requested).
Tickets are available online: collywood.org.uk or at the door for £7.00 (or £5.00 for concessions: including disabled people, carers, OAPs, under-16s, and unwaged). If you have any special access or seating requirements, please contact Alice on 020 8715 5523/ http://uk.mc1331.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=alice@alicethacker.org.
The performance starts at 7.30pm and will end at about 10pm. It's at Christ Church, 58 Christchurch Road, Collier's Wood SW19 2NY.
