If you're thinking of cycling to work in central London from the Wimbledon area, but don't have the confidence, you can always try the "Bike Tube".

Merton Cycling Campaign runs guided bike rides from stations around Wimbledon into central London, avoiding busy roads.

It is customisable to suit your needs, but basically runs each Tuesday from 8am from Wimbledon, getting to Waterloo/London Bridge for 9am.

The Bike Tube is guided by Charles Barraball (left), an Accredited Cycling Instructor and Borough Coordinator for Merton Cycling Campaign.

London Cycling Campaign marketing manager Lucy Cooper said: "Just cycling with someone to work once can give you the confidence to commute to work every day".
