Man is pronounced dead at the scene in Cannizaro Park

 

The body of a man in his 70s was discovered yesterday morning in a Wimbledon pond.

 

Emergency crews tried to resuscitate him but he was pronounced dead at the scene in Cannizaro Park.

 

It’s believed they’ve found the man’s next of kin and have established his identity.

Met Police, who were called to the scene at 9.19am on Easter Monday (April 13), have said his death not being treated as suspicious. Anyone with information is asked to ring them on 101.
