Businesses Have Chance To Comment On Council's Plan

Meet the council leader and officers

Local businesses are being invited to discuss Merton council’s Business Plan, including its budget and financial strategy, with council leader Stephen Alambritis.

The council wants business ratepayers to review and comment on its Business Plan 2015-19, including the Budget for 2015/16 and Medium Term Financial Strategy 2015-19.

The consultation meeting takes place at the Civic Centre on Wednesday February 11 at 6pm and any business that wishes to discuss the budget proposals with Councillor Alambritis, other councillors and officers is invited.

Details of the proposed Business Plan will be considered by Cabinet on February 16 and will be on the council's website after the meeting.

The council can also receive comments by email or letter from those businesses unable to attend the meeting.

Letters should be addressed to Caroline Holland, Director of Corporate Services at Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX. Emails should be sent to business.rates@merton.gov.uk, and should quote the business name and address.

The outcomes of the consultation will be considered as part of the Business Plan approval by the council on 4 March 2015.

To attend the meeting, please notify Jackie Aitken (PA to Assistant Director of Resources) on 020 8545 3325 or email business.rates@merton.gov.uk.
