Peter Duncan Opens Wimbledon Charity Christmas Card Shop

Stock up for the festive season at St Mark's Church

A little bit of Christmas has come to Wimbledon with the opening of the Cards for Good Causes seasonal shop at St Mark's Church.

The UK's largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation is once again decking the halls in its Wimbledon shop offering an array of festive cards and Christmas gift ideas.

Staffed by volunteers, the outlet sells cards for more than 25 national and local charities.

This year the shop was officially opened by Peter Duncan - of Blue Peter Fame who has been appearing in Hairspray at Wimbledon Theatre.

People can find the shop by looking out for Cards for Good Causes' distinctive triangular red Santa sign in St Mark's Place.

The Wimbledon shop has been running since 1994 and has raised more than £625,000 in that time.

It's part of the Cards for Good Causes' national network of over 300 shops, selling cards for around 275 charities and staffed by more than 6,000 volunteers.

The shop (below right) is open from 10am to 4pm from now to December 16.
