Wimbledon pupils to take on their roles
Charlie and Lola return from Australia in an Extremely New adventure, which will be appearing at Wimbledon's Polka Theatre.
Everyone's favourite brother and sister are back in a new adventure Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play.
Based on the well-loved BBC television series created by Lauren Child, Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play runs at Polka Theatre from April 27 – August 17, for children aged 4 – 7.
This Polka Theatre co-production with BBC Worldwide premiered in December 2012 in Sydney Opera House and has travelled back from Oz to Wimbledon to give young audiences a fun theatrical experience.
The magic of the animated cartoon is brought to life on stage through use of puppetry and the voices of two local children from Wimbledon schools in the roles of Charlie and Lola.
Children can join Charlie and Lola on a magical journey through the seasons where they discover that everything is different and not the same.
Jonathan Lloyd, Polka's Artistic Director and adapter for Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play, said: "We really love the characters, the stories and imaginative world of Charlie and Lola. Following the huge international success of Polka's first Charlie and Lola show, the sequel brings something new to the stage including Lola’s best friend Lotta, Charlie's best friend Marv and of course Sizzles, the sausage dog that according to Lola 'can do anything'!"
