Volunteers Make Unusual Find During River Wandle Clean-Up!

Little chef and scooter are pulled from the Wandle

Volunteers working for The Wandle Trust were amazed when they pulled out a motorbike as well as a model of a chef during their latest River Wandle clean up.

The Trust organises community clean-ups of the River Wandle on the second Sunday of every month, rotating between the boroughs of Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth.

The most recent one took place on Sunday (April 10) in Earlsfield on the Rufus Industrial Estate, between Garrett Lane and Durnsford Road.

Their next clean-up takes place on Sunday May 8, with a venue to be confirmed. Maybe they'll recover something like these items (picture below from @Bella_SERivers) again?
