Christmas Gift Delivery At South Wimbledon's All Saints Centre

Local donations help spread a little joy

People with physical and learning disabilities who use the All Saints Centre in South Wimbledon were given Christmas presents this week as part of Centre Court Shopping Centre’s Making Memories campaign.

Members of the public donated items including beauty products from Body Shop, food from M&S to throws and pillows from Debenhams.

The Wimbledon shopping centre’s Making Memories campaign asks shoppers young and old, to donate something that will spread a little joy to those who spread joy all year round.

Merton’s cabinet member for adult social care and health, Councillor Caroline Cooper-Marbiah, said: “Christmas is a time for giving and it is heart-warming to see that goodwill is being spread to our residents who use the All Saints Centre. I would like to thank the management and staff of Centre Court Shopping Centre and all who donated presents or helped in any way to the success of this project.”

Director of Centre Court Shopping Centre, Suzy Wood, said: “It is lovely to see our shoppers and the community pull together to support those who are so deserving.”
