Tackling Pollution With Clean Air Merton

New group to hold public meeting in Wimbledon

A new group aiming to clean up polluted air in the area is holding a public meeting in Wimbledon on Tuesday June 13.

Clean Air Merton says air pollution has been linked to over 9,000 early deaths every year in London.

In Merton alone it says the Mayor's office estimates that over 12,000 people are being exposed to illegal levels of pollution.

Joining the debate will be representatives from ClientEarth, Kings College London and Sustainable Merton to discuss what actions can be done to clean up toxic air and how it is impacting our health.

It takes place at the Trinity United Reformed Church in Mansel Road, Wimbledon, from 7.30pm on June 13.
