Get Your Tickets For The Finale Of Colliers Wood Arts Festival

Three-month-long event is coming to an end

Colliers Wood is enjoying its spring arts festival, with all the shows well underway.

The festival is running from now until Sunday (May 18) and fans of music and arts can visit www.collywood.org.uk/arts/ to see the programme of events.

The festival, supported by Merton Council, is a celebration of music and the arts. It has involved regular music sessions, music and poetry workshops, an arts and crafts fair and a host of activities to delight children and families.

This Sunday, on the festival's final day, a talented trio of pianists who call themselves Cherry Mint Koala are set to make their live debut.

Charlie Brown, Tony Woollard and Mark Northfield first collaborated on a dance project at ArtsEd in West London before deciding to form a group and make music together.

All three musicians have experience having worked on projects that include the West End musical Lord of the Rings, collaborating with former Blur frontman Damon Albarn and producing albums of their own.

Cherry Mint Koala release their debut album, Beguiling Transmissions on June 23.

The album is focussed mainly on the lush, late-romantic melodies of Northfield’s own compositions, along with some cleverly reworked World War I songs.

Location: Christ Church, 58 Christchurch Road, Colliers Wood SW19 2NY.
