Free event in Colliers Wood
A networking evening to celebrate people who have started their own business takes place in Colliers Wood on November 18.
In acknowledgement of those who have achieved their business dreams or are on their way to starting up, the Merton Business Support Service has announced plans for the free event.
It will run as part of celebrations for Global Entrepreneurship Week, which this year runs from 16 – 22 November.
Deliverers of the Merton Business Support Service, Merton Chamber of Commerce, has been a Global Entrepreneurship Week supporter for a number of years, and hope that the event will allow businesses to acknowledge their own successes and celebrate with like minded businesses that have gone through a similar journey.
It will form part of a week of global activities that highlight and celebrate entrepreneurship as well as offering practical support to those who are interested in setting up their own business or developing their business networks.
Kevan Dunne, Merton Chamber of Commerce Business Adviser said: "We are proud to be part of Global Entrepreneurship week 2015, to celebrate and support small businesses that form the backbone of the local economy and job creation."
Andrew Devenport, Chief Executive of Youth Business International, the organisation that coordinates Global Entrepreneurship Week UK, added: "Global Entrepreneurship Week is celebrated in over 140 countries and provides practical support and encouragement to millions of people. This year, the theme for Global Entrepreneurship Week in the UK is Make it Happen, giving people the perfect opportunity to take action on their entrepreneurial ideas.
