Open day for local gardens
Keen gardeners in Colliers Wood are opening their gardens to the public in a special event on Saturday July 2.
A dozen gardens are open at various hours throughout the day, with the first opening at 10am.
It includes raised beds being worked on by the Community Garden Project at the Johmard Centre, 65 High Street.
Other gardens involved are in Chesham Road, Denison Road, Miller Road, Lyveden Road, Park Road, Marlborough Road, Harewood Road and Cavendish Road.
The vegetabe garden at Singlegate School in South Gardens will be open from 1pm-3pm. For more details, see the gardens page on the Making Colliers Wood Happy site.
