Opening events of local festival
The Colliers Wood Spring Arts Festival 2013 is about to begin with the William Morris Weekend.
On Saturday (March 23) there will be a William Morris print block printing session led by Mary Hart from the Wandle Industrial Museum - from 12pm to 4pm in the Chapter House, under Merantun Way between Sainsburys and Merton Abbey Mills.
It's free and for people of all ages and abilities. It may be cold, so wear warm clothing!
On Sunday (March 24) there will be a celebration of the life and legacy of William Morris with local poets, musicians and speakers - including the socialist choir " The Strawberry Thieves" and the Colliers Wood Ukulele Orchestra - from 7pm. at the William Morris pub. Entrance £3.
