Cleaning Up Colliers Wood

Edible hedgerow also planted

On a cold morning in March, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association joined local residents in Crusoe Road, Colliers Wood, to tidy up an alleyway plagued by littering and flytipping.

They also helped to plant "edible hedgerow trees" - a mixture of hazel, elder, blackthorn, dog rose and crab apple - which were donated by the Woodland Trust.

The team are pictured below.

Local resident and founder of the Crusoe Road Plus action group, Caroline Cooper-Marbiah, said "Thank you for helping us to make Crusoe Road cleaner and greener".
