Activity Day Planned For Colliers Wood


Local youngsters urged to have their say

An afternoon of of activities is being planned for youngsters in Colliers Wood on Saturday November 12.

The Making Colliers Wood Happy group decided to review the provision for children and young people in the area following the August disturbances.

They want local children aged 11-16 to join in the day's activities and talk about what they'd like to see provided in Colliers Wood.

The afternoon starts in the Community Centre, 66-72 High Street, at 3pm and there will be Street Dancing at 3.15pm. The activities will also include African Drumming at 4.15pm.

As well as a climbing wall, table tennis, pool and food, there will be be two "Have Your Say" sessions at 3.45pm and 5.15pm. There will also be free refreshments provided by Marks and Spencers and Sainsburys

There will be a roller disco in the evening for children under the age of 11. Bring your own skates if you have them, but some will be available on loan if you don't. Entrance £1.
