Woman Raped in Dundonald Recreation Ground

Attacked by stranger as she walked home in the early hours

A 34-year-old woman has reported to police that she was raped in Wimbledon in the early hours of Sunday morning (25 October).

The attack took place at around 1.30am in Dundonald Recreation Ground, Dundonald Road. The 34-year-old woman called police half an hour later and told officers that she was raped by a man she did not know as she was walking home alone.

She was taken to a Haven Sexual Assault Referral Centre. Officers from Sexual Offences, Exploitation & Child Abuse Command are investigating. No arrests have been made.
