Three Caught on Camera During Wimbledon Burglary


Jewellery and antique coins stolen from Durnsford Road house

 

Police have released CCTV footage taken at the time of a burglary that took place in Durnsford Road, Wimbledon last year. They would like to speak to three men in connection with a number of items being taken from the house includingjewellery and an antique coin collection.

The footage shows the three men approaching the house during the afternoon of Sunday, 27 March 2016.

At around 1pm, one man approaches the front of the property and appears to make multiple attempts to test the door and window. He leaves after around four minutes.

Approximately 40 minutes later two different men are captured on CCTV entering the back garden of the property. They notice the camera and cut the wires.

Police were called at approximately 7.30pm that evening after the occupants of the address returned home and realised they had been burgled.

Detective Constable Previous Meechok Maingarm, of Merton CID, who is leading the investigation, said: "We have very clear pictures of the three men we would like to speak to following this burglary and I am sure someone will recognise them. If you have any information that could assist the investigation please contact police."
