South Wimbledon Gas Main Works Set To Finish Early
Major road junction had been closed since January
The 12-week road closure at South Wimbledon (pictured above), is set to end more than a month ahead of schedule this Sunday (March 1):
SGN had been upgrading the gas network along Kingston Road since January, which had caused long road delays.
But they have told local representatives, including Wimbledon MP Stephen Hammond, that the work will be complete this weekend. He tweeted: "Very pleased to report that the SGN gas works at South Wimbledon will be completed early, by Sunday March 1."
