Finalists Named For Wimbledon International Short Film Festival

Prestigious event features films no longer than 15 minutes

The finalists have been named for this year’s Wimbledon International Short Film Festival – an event dedicated to UK and international short films from 10 seconds to 15 minutes.

The festival aims to showcase what new filmmakers worldwide are doing whatever the genre – be they funny, serious, real, fantastic, experimental, drama, documentary or animation.

Last year’s festival winners included entries from Iran, Hungary and the UK from a shortlist including bloody horrors, personal accounts and heartfelt documentaries. This year’s event is the 10th festival.

The screening and awards night takes place during Wimbledon Bookfest on Friday October 12, 7pm-10.30pm in the Baille Gifford Big Tent, Festival Site (Wimbledon Common, SW19 5AZ).

  • Wimbledon International Short Film Festival is a part of the Wimbledon Film Club. The WFC is an independent non-political not-for-profit organisation, which is a registered charity run by volunteers screening an eclectic range of art house and award winning feature films in Wimbledon. The WFC is also an award-winning member of the British Federation of Film Societies.
