Bookies offer odds on suspension
Bookmakers William Hill think there is a chance that the tennis at Wimbledon could be stopped due to the heatwave.
Very high temperatures are expected from Friday onwards, as warm air blows north from Africa – and it could halt The Championships at the All England Club.
"We're used to rain affecting games at Wimbledon, but this time the hot weather could melt the order of play," said William Hill spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke.
William Hill offer 5/1 that play on Centre Court of Number 1 Court is suspended because of heat.
