Major work to increase tram frequency
There will be no tram service between Mitcham and Mitcham Junction during four days over Easter as part of the work to build a twin track along the line from Wimbledon.
From Friday April 6-Monday April 9 there will be a 15-minute shuttle tram service between Wimbledon and Mitcham. A replacement bus service will run between Mitcham and Mitcham Junction.
Trams will run normally between Mitcham Junction and New Addington.
The work is part of a major project to improve the tramline by the end of 2012, which will mean a tram can run from Wimbledon every six minutes.
