Fireworks in SW19 2017

Don’t miss out on two fantastic musical fireworks and bonfire displays put on by Merton Council in two of its beautiful parks this November, as Concil opens ticket sales.

The popular annual event which attracts more than 30,000 people will take place at Morden Park on Saturday 3 November and Wimbledon Park on Monday 5 November.

For the Wimbledon Park display, tickets can be booked online only. For Morden Park, tickets are available online with a limited number of tickets available on the gate. But early booking is encouraged for both events to avoid disappointment on the night. Children aged four and under are free.

Both venues boast spectacular settings for fireworks displays with clear, unobstructed views in beautiful parks settings. Morden Park has the added benefit of being set in a natural bowl, perfect for events like this.

There are two themed performances at each venue. Gates open at 5.15pm for the first show at 6.30pm which is excellent for children and 8.15pm for the second. People are encouraged to arrive early to avoid queues. Both events will have a funfair and refreshments open until 10pm.

Merton’s cabinet member for community and culture, Councillor Nick Draper, said: “We are proud of Merton’s speculator fireworks and bonfire displays that are like nowhere else in the capital. The shows will have great fireworks, music, fun and attractions and are a great way to spend time with your family and friends. Everyone is welcome and I am looking forward to seeing you there.”
