Championships take place this weekend

Surrey County Fencing Union will be running the county Foil & Sabre Individual Championships on Sunday (October 26).

The annual competition, run this year by Wimbledon fencing club's Jim Hamilton, will take place at Wimbledon College, Edge Hill SW19 4NS from 9.30am.

The foil competition will take place in the morning and sabre in the afternoon. Each event is likely to be mixed men/women, depending on the size of entry.

Last year Wimbledon fencers Jim Hamilton won gold in the sabre with Simon White winning silver. Brian Harkins won bronze in the foil.
