Merton Mayor's Festive Meal Raises Charity Funds

South Thames College in Morden puts on a spread

Students at South Thames College Merton prepared a meal for more than 100 people at the Mayor of Merton Councillor Krystal Miller's Christmas dinner on Tuesday (December 11).

The dinner was held in aid of the Mayor's two charities, Home Start Merton and Polka Theatre, in the new catering academy of the Morden-based college and was attended by council staff, past Merton mayors, councillors and Mayors from eight London boroughs.

The Mayor of Merton, Councillor Krystal Miller, said: "Thank you to everyone who supported my Christmas dinner this year, helping to raise almost £1,000 for my two charities.

"I would especially like to thank the students at South Thames College Merton who put together a beautiful meal and helped to make the night a truly festive occasion."
