Gap Road Residents Warned Of Burglary Spree


Suspects have posed as gardeners

Police are warning residents around Gap Road, Wimbledon, to be wary after three burglaries in the area.

A suspect was disturbed at one of the addresses targeted. When challenged he asked the homeowner if they required any gardening done.

He then left and met up with another man. They were both later seen on private CCTV trying rear door handles at the premises.

Their descriptions are as follows:

First suspect
Aged around 30, a light-skinned black male, 6ft tall, slim build, with a London accent. He was wearing a grey hoody under a black leather jacket and blue jeans, black trainers with a white flash.

Second suspect
Aged around 28-30, a white male, 5ft 6ins tall, stocky build wearing a black beanie hat, black jacket and blue jeans, black trainers with a white flash, black glove on one hand (right).

If you firmly believe they are about to commit crime or have entered private premises call 999.
Dog walkers on in the police's dog watch group are asked to take note of the descriptions and look out for these two while on walks.
