National user survey starts soon
Library users will be asked what they think about the Merton Council library services through the national Public Library User Survey (PLUS) from November 19-24.
Focussing on services for adults, this year's survey aims to find out how users rate their local library. The survey will give library users aged 16 or over the opportunity to give their opinion on library opening hours, customer services, book stock and information services.
As well as being able to give feedback which will help inform the council on future development of library services, participants will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of events and to complete a prize entry slip for a chance to win shopping vouchers.
Councillor Nick Draper, cabinet member for community and culture, said: "The PLUS survey helps us gather a meaningful assessment of users' views, and helps measure the quality of service rather than just dealing with quantities, meaning that we can properly review how our libraries serve the community. Make sure you get down to your local library next week to let them know what you think about their services and get involved in the events being run as part of the PLUS survey."
