Local Renewable Energy Business Awards First Franchise

Green Square will have a branch in Scotland

Green Square, the UK's first dedicated renewable energy store based in Raynes Park, has awarded its first franchise licence in a plan to extend the chain of carbon neutral stores across the UK.

The first franchise model from Green Square was granted to Oliver Thyne from Edinburgh.

Oliver is set to open his Green Square franchised store in Kelso in the autumn and will offer valuable information as well as a plethora of renewable energy products and solutions to all of South East Scotland.

The appointment of Green Square's first franchise licence comes less than 18 months after the franchiser owned pilot store launched in Raynes Park.

Richard Hiblen, Managing Director of Green Square said: "We are delighted to award our first franchise licence to Oliver who came to us with a passion for the renewable energy arena and a business acumen that truly reflected Green Square's ethos.

"Green Square has seen an amazing 17 months in business since we first opened the doors of Raynes Park’s store and in an industry that is estimated to be worth £50bn by 2020 in the UK alone, I’m sure that Oliver will make every success of his new venture. We look forward to a long and sustainable relationship together in business."
