Help Local Student With Vital Research

Do you know any expectant mothers?...

Merton Park-based Trainee Clinical Psychologist Jenni Shaw wants pregnant woman to take part in her research project. Please read on for more details:

Are you expecting a baby? Exciting opportunity to take part in some research!

I am an SW19 resident in Merton Park, I am also a Trainee Clinical Psychologist and I am trying to research the causes of anxiety in people expecting a baby. Anxiety in pregnancy is a very common problem but when anxiety becomes too much it can be very distressing.

I hope to get more information on why some people develop anxiety and some don't. If we have this information, I hope that we can put more resources into prevention rather than treatment of anxiety.

I am looking for men and women expecting a baby to take part in my study. I am asking participants to complete some questionnaires twice- once during pregnancy (second or third trimester) and once after the birth. There is also a prize draw for all participants to win £50 Mothercare vouchers.

You can see all the details of the study here:

If you would like to take part please contact me. You can email me on j.p.shaw@surrey.ac.uk.

I would love for you to take part in my research as this is an area that is really lacking research and I think it is really important for us to know more.

Thanks for reading!!

Jenni.
