Queen's honour for local businessman
Wimbledon businessman Paul Strank has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
Paul, who founded Weir Road-based Paul Strank Roofing, has been given the award in recognition for his services to charity and the local community.
One of his company's fund-raising activities is a annual Charity Gala. This year's event takes place on September 21, with Peter Andre as the headline act.
Terry Morgan said on behalf of the company: "Paul would like to convey his heartfelt thanks to all the people who have participated in, and supported his ongoing community efforts and charitable endeavours.
"He looks forward to the years ahead, proud in the knowledge that the community and people have made, and can continue to make a difference."
