Police want to trace her after assault

Police are releasing two CCTV images of a woman they would like so speak to after a passenger was assaulted on a bus in Merton.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 1 January at about 4am on board a route 118 bus travelling between Morden station and Brixton.

The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was on the bus with two others, one of whom had a dog. The suspect boarded and became abusive about the dog before assaulting the victim, hitting and kicking her.

The victim did not require hospital treatment.

The suspect (pictured left and right) is described as a light-skinned black woman, aged between 23 to 33, slim and wearing a long light brown coat.

She is believed to have links to Surrey, Sutton, Lambeth and Merton.

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.
