Campaign To Find A New Home For The Sound Lounge

Coming soon: Fundraising event for former Wimbledon cafe and arts venue

A campaign is underway to find a new home for the popular Sound Lounge cafe and arts venue which had a 'pop-up' base in Wimbledon town centre for three months.

The independent venue, which had previously been in Tooting, had to recently leave its premises on The Broadway because a tenant has been found for the building.

Sound Lounge cafe sign During its stay in Wimbledon, the vegan cafe hosted a range of music concerts, workshops and community events.

A fundraising music event towards finding the project a new home is being staged at Christ Church in Christchurch Road, Colliers Wood on April 20.

Sound Lounge patron Paul Sexton will present the evening, which will include live and acoustic music from 8pm, featuring Hannah White, The Black Feathers and Hannah Rose Platt.
